Web Developer in Emeryville, CA

We are looking for a strong web developer who has primarily worked on front end and is strong with Ajax and Javascript. Must know Ajax indepth and should be strong with CSS, actionscript and HTML. Responsibilities Create standards-compliant, cross-browser-compatible HTML/CSS representations of visual designs with pixel-level accuracy and attention to detail Work with User Experience and Engineering teams to define, maintain, implement, and enforce style guides, standards, reusable templates, and best practices for client-side coding Produce and optimize image assets Optimize performance of client-side code taking into account issues of page weight, complexity, SEO and caching Monitor best practices, trends and new technologies and evaluate for possible adoption Assist development teams with client-side coding and bug fixing as needed Understand, interpret and translate engineering requirements into the necessary designs and documentation Work closely with other webdevs, Flex developers, QA, product management and marketing teams to resolve problems Ensure that products are created with high quality with proper attention to security considerations Development Environment / Technologies JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, XML, REST Professional Qualifications 3+ years experience in web application development. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Design/Documentation: . Ability to work with input from business and design teams to transform functional specifications into dynamic web pages. . Experience working with Photoshop for cutting images and HTML Planning and Organization: . Effective in working collaboratively in a team setting. 1 Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and tradeoffs to management. Software Engineering: . Advanced knowledge and experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML and JSON 1 Experience with 3rd party JavaScript libraries - Mootools preferred 2 Knowledge of Flex/Flash and ActionScript 3 a plus 3 Experience with branching and merging in Perforce or a similar version control system 4 Knowledge of browser limitations and workarounds 5 Knowledge of web application vulnerabilities, especially the OWASP Top 10 6 Understanding of web caching techniques. 7 Strong understanding of object oriented development concepts. 8 Knowledge of analytics and multivariate testing a plus 9 Experience in the creation of JSP pages to act as host containers for rich internet applications. 10 Experience in the development of software based on service oriented architecture. 11 Experience with E-commerce solutions and PCI compliance. 12 Experience with ATG E-commerce solutions a plus 13 Strong understanding of XML/XSD/Web Services (SOAP, REST, WSDL) 14 Knowledge of localization techniques a plus 15 Understanding of encryption and hashing algorithms 16 Good knowledge of software algorithms and design patterns Experience . History of successful software commercialization projects 1 Strong organization skills, self-motivated, team player 2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Quality .
