This is a stable growing company that works with market leaders. The Senior Director of Launch Management (think "Rocket Man" / "Rocket Woman!") will lead all market facing launches for all product and service categories across COMPANY. This critical role contributes and drives the ideas that enable the company to enter new markets and/or new solution areas that add significant value. The candidate will deliver plan for revenue and sales growth and is ultimately responsible for the following: gating clear technology/product solution delivery; sales enablement; the global launch of a whole product. The candidate will provide market facing leadership for staff functions and key business units. Success in this role is dependant upon the incumbent's ability to act as a self-starter assuming ownership of the role; driving cross-functional initiatives that enhance Company's ability to articulate the core value of our solutions portfolio. Manage the business plan and go-to market strategy which includes:• Responsibility for new product investigation, market opportunity analysis, business case development, technology assessment, planning, developing product roadmaps, feature definition and providing competitive analysis for Company's UC/CC/IOC product portfolio.• Responsible for product launch planning, execution and sustaining, creating product specifications and positioning documents, conducting tactical competitive analysis, developing customer and press evaluation programs, organizing press tour initiatives, managing product end-of-life transitions and preparing customer messaging for product issues when necessary for products.• Active participant and contributor in the development of product line strategy and work with Field, Services and BU marketing teams to optimize product acceptance and success during the product lifecycle.• Manage product & service launches to ensure sales force readiness in the theatre's and vertical segments• Influence product roadmaps, feature sets and product improvements to meet customer needs/issues.• Responsible for following and managing the Product Review Process• Maximizing the revenue for the the Services, Unified Communications, Contact Center, Telephony products and services across small to large business markets• Analyze performance to forecast - recommend actions• Monitor and analyze current and new product trends; manage/coordinate business reviews• Partnering with Sales Operations to incorporate forecasting migration plans and sales funnel development, and SWAT sales advocacy group• Work closely with key partners in other COEs, BU's, Sales Teams, IT, Services, Brand, and pricing to ensure seamless execution on product launch and offering.• Prepare and coordinate materials; ensure sales training and roadmaps for customer (sales teams) and external customer (EBC's) are in place.• Work with D/S, Pricing to ensure accurate forecasting and pricing• Construct marketing communications and promotion for Lines Of Business, 3rd party vendor management and program funding negotiation• Category development and evolution; identify evolving technology categories; identify and manage new growth channels• Conduct competitive analysis to determine appropriate positioning and product message• Identify strategic vendors with leadership role in defined categories or that offer gap products to the Company portfolioQualifications:• BA or MA Degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering with at least 8-10 year's relevant experience• A proven track record of spearheading successful software/technology product launches during last 2-4 years• Understanding of technical product concepts in making product/commodity trade-off decisions• Experience in offer management; AR/PR• Knowledge of PC industrial technologies, future trends and direction, including telecom, technology and SW competitors• Must be organized and able to prioritize & perform multiple tasks simultaneously• Must possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills• Must possess strong analytical skills, business and financial skills• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral Marketing Launch Manager for Whole Product/OfferValue Proposition • Ensure Segment specific offers defined with business benefit and 'why act now'• Develop customer migration & prospect offers in partnerships with Theaters, Business Unit marketing groups• Ensure appropriate pricing and channel incentives are established • Partner with BU and Channel leaders to develop joint offer for SIs/SPs (where relevant) • Develop competitive analysis documented with appropriate Company differentiated positioning • Drive Customer references and positioning to support value proposition at launch• Craft storyline and ensure execution with PR/AR leads for 3rd party validation • Acts as proof point for broader visionTraining • Drive Training Plan development for major geographies with closed loop means of measurement for comprehension, competency and confidence• Ensure Training curriculum that is developed and delivered for sales, channel partner, and technical sales is compelling and covers how to sell and technically how to sell-analyze customer environment • Establish thresholds for % Sales and % channel trained before first significant customer and/or partner event • Ensure Service Readiness for Maintenance and Professional ServicesSales Tools • Oversee Sales competitive playbook (all competitors) with sales enablement and training• Lead definition and development for ROI tools (value calculator), etc. • Establish customer Qualification criteria • Generate Fact Sheets and elevator pitches-marketing communications tools for quick startsMarketing Plan • Define Positioning: market, current customers, analysts • Ensure Brand alignment, campaign, and naming• Define Interactive web capabilities and presence for new products/services • Ensure Podcasts, videos, whitepapers developed with appropriate lead time for use in sales and • Partner with A/R & P/R on Analysts, IR plans • Marketing Program Strategy: Marketing goals, strategy and execution planTargeting • Identify targets and identify lead by segment • Partner with 1) Campaign Management to create Demand generation plan that delivers supports goal attainment and 2) Sales Operations & Channel Management to ensure execution of migration plans and prospect coverageField Support • Ensure EBC briefed & ready • "SWAT TEAM" (in field and GCS) identified for sales support• Support team to 'troubleshoot' codify best practices • Results • Define expect business results in partnership with BU• Specify revenue, units, existing and new customer success thresholds by region/theater• Ensure adequate measurements with finance, BUs and sales• Schedules: What are key milestones, timing?
