ASI System Integration is searching for a Desktop Support Analyst. The Desk Side Support Analyst would provide 1st and 2nd level on-site support for the daily computer operations in the division including the main office, décor center, and outlying sales offices. He or she is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networked printers, computer hardware and workstation software. Position Responsibilities: General: Address issues reported by the help desk and/or end users; Manage Incident and Request tickets generated by the help desk; Personal organization and time management. Customer Related: Provide basic computer orientation for new hires; Provide desk-side help and basic instructions on standard software applications such as Windows XP and MS Office 2002/2003; Assist users with any computer related issues. Workstation Related: Perform workstation computer configuration and imaging; Install new equipment as needed; Facilitate end user relocations as directed by management; Participate in software roll-outs and upgrades as directed management; Coordinate warranty repair and other on-site service calls with outside vendors; Acquire and stock basic computer supplies, accessories, and equipment. Network Related: Monitor success of tape backups, perform daily tape switching, and provide offsite storage of tapes; Facilitate network printer service in-house and through outside vendors; Maintain user/station floor plans and inventory database; Escalate network/server related issues to Infrastructure team as necessary. Sales Offices: Manage the computer requirements for opening and closing of sales offices; Provide technical support and problem resolution for remote sales offices; provide and maintain network connectivity via dial-up and/or broadband connections. Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma; Necessary skills to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and printing problems in Windows Server and Windows XP environment; A basic understanding of Microsoft networks and network printing; Reliable transportation for local travel to sales offices and the ability to work independently with little supervision. Required Skills: PC Windows XP/2000, MS Office, Outlook, SMS, Backup SW, AD; Protocols TCP/IP, PC-HW, printers, Scanners, Broadband Tech; Win2003 Server, HP Server HW, PC-HW, VPN, and Cisco Network Equip. Desired Skills: Provides technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related software/hardware. Trouble shoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when related to personal desktop computers. Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps. Screens, refers, and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers utilizing experience and understanding of Perot Systems' MIS environment. May also provide some phone support. Typically, the analyst level participates in supportive role by providing analytical and in person technical support. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Under little supervision, plans, installs, and tests less complex vendor supplied computer system hardware or software. Requires 2+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
